Err... the guy who suggested I get Slackware is a hardcore Linux user, I guess. :P SuSE and Turbo Linux are supposedly very buggy?
Uh, LOL. I don't think I'm going to be using Linux specifically for anything, actually. After all, I'm neither a programmer, a webdeveloper, or anything vaguely related (and I don't really think I can handle all of those either, since I'm pretty much computer-stupid). Heh.
I'm just attempting to learn what it's all about. :D
yes i love slackware.. but slackware seem to be like only hardcore user only used it :D .. now i'm using debian .. coz easy and faster .. ermm what do u think ek?.. but if u wanna something that really easy to setup or to maintain why don't u try SuSE or Turbo Linux..
p/s: i'm using window laa... just using linux as my developement tools only
Haha. It's "Kemaman". ;) And they only have RedHat here as far as I remember (and that would require me to troop all the way to KL for it?). I have never seen a computer running on an OS other than DOS and Windows too. *chuckles*
I don't ask for favors when I can help it. :P I accept them when they are offered. I don't want to make myself a pest to anyone, or burden them with things that they don't have to do. :X I'd feel even more guilt-ridden that way.
Seems too much of a hassle on it bc your connection is pretty awful. Do they have *nix cds somewhere in the markets in Kenamaneaskdf(sp)or something? Or just have the person who is helping you to send you a copy since he's pimping it so much.
And ugh... after downloading for the first 15MB (do you know how friggin' hard it is to download a mere 15MB on a dail-up connection?) of the 640MB yesterday, today it tells me that I need the password and the username.
Bah. That means I have to start all over again from a different source. And that means I'm utterly pissed off. This would be the time when I throw in the towel (and throw it at whoever who is nearest to me) and go, "Fuck it, I don't give a damn anymore."
And I wonder why I care enough to still download it.
